Freed is a Senior at The College of New Jersey, studying both Communication Studies and Journalism. She has contributed stories to TCNJ’s student run newspaper, The Signal, of various different topics. She has never taken a shot at sports writing and hopes this class opens up her mind to the world of sports journalism. Her love for writing and learning new things have lead her on a pursuit to getting involved in writing about sports.
Freed graduated from Lacey Township High School in 2016, where she was a winter and spring track varsity athlete. She threw shot put in the winter season and threw shot put, discus, and javelin in the spring season. Her career in track ended after high school as she worked and focused on school, but her love for the sport still remains.
Although keeping up-to-date with professional sports is not her forte, Freed holds the New York Giants and New York Yankees close to her heart because they were her grandfather’s favorite teams.
