Ahluwalia is a 2014 graduate of Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, NJ. He is currently pursuing his bachelors in Journalism from The College of New Jersey. Ahluwalia, the son of Indian parents from England, has always had a passion for internationally recognized sports such as soccer or cricket, while also having an interest in American sports such as baseball and basketball.

In High School, Ahluwalia was a columnist and reporter for the school newspaper The Fling where he covered the Girls soccer and fencing teams during the fall and winter respectively. He was also an editor for articles written by freshmen or first-year reporters. In 2013, Ahluwalia was nominated for second place in the Garden State Scholastic Awards (Sports articles) for his report on the girls fencing team state championship victory.

Ahluwalia has also written for a soccer blog in India and contributed some articles for the Times of India. He has also worked with the communications department of teams in the I-League – India’s national soccer league – such as Pune.

Ahluwalia’s favorite sports teams includes English Premier League soccer team, Arsenal, Major League Soccer franchise, New York Red Bulls, Melbourne City of the Australian A-League, V-Varen Nagasaki of Japan, the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball, and the Brooklyn Nets of the NBA.
