One thing that is hard to do right now? Read the news or go on social media and be able to escape the tumultuous craziness surrounding Antonio Brown.

But amidst all of the allegations currently circulating about him, there is one thing that cannot be denied Brown played a damn good game on Sunday afternoon for the Patriots.

After being traded from the Oakland Raiders following last week’s very public, back-and-forth feud, Brown now calls New England his new home for now at least. In his debut appearance on the team, the Patriots were able to shut out the Miami Dolphins 43-0, easily securing a Week 2 win.

Brown’s success started in the second quarter, in which he locked in his first touchdown of the season, catching a 20-yard pass from teammate Tom Brady. Brown ended up leading the team with four catches for 56 yards on the day.

Although Brown’s stats from this game did not disappoint fantasy owners, the omnipresent sexual allegations against him still exist, and fans’ disapproval of the wide receiver is clear from the booing that arose as he stepped on the field.  He may have played an above average game, however, the accusations surrounding Brown are still serious and are on track for only getting worse as time goes on.

As the NFL plans to meet with Britney Taylor, the first woman to step forward to accuse him of sexual assault, his status in the league and him playing for the Patriots is questionable in the coming weeks.
